Sacroiliac Dysfunction:

Evidence-Based Assessment and Treatment

This course delves into the impact of sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction on low back pain, lower extremity pain, resulting kinetic chain dysfunction and adverse neural tension. It offers an eclectic, evidence-based approach to both the assessment and treatment of SI joint issues.  This comprehensive approach aims to address the multifaceted nature of SI joint dysfunction, optimizing outcomes and enhancing overall patient care.

DRY NEEDLING: 

A CLINICALLY EFFICIENT AND EVIDENCE-BASED APPROaCH

A Holistic Dry Needling approach that is clinically efficient and evidence-based. This course includes Dry Needling for the Spine, Pelvis, Extremities, and TMJ. Includes some essential Manual Therapy techniques and Exercise Prescription considerations.

MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUES

This course provides hands-on training in Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), a safe and effective manual therapy approach that uses the patient’s own muscle contractions to mobilize joints, restore motion, relieve pain, and support neuromuscular re-education. Emphasizing practical application, participants will gain the skills to integrate MET as an alternative to grade 5 manipulations in the treatment of diverse musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Tejinder (TJ) Singh PT, DPT, MS, OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Singh is an educator, researcher, clinician, and international expert in Manual Therapy. An Einstein Visa recipient, he co-founded the Global Initiative of Expert Manual Physical Therapists (GEM), which trains students worldwide in evidence-based treatments.

Dr. Singh holds a Bachelor of Science in physiotherapy from the University of Delhi, a Master of Science in motor neuroscience from Texas A&M University, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is a double Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. He also completed a diploma from Harvard Business School.

Dr. Singh, a lifetime member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapy and the American Physical Therapy Association, has taught over 100 courses, presented at international conferences, and contributed extensively to physiotherapy journals, focusing on manual therapy in complex patient issues. He has taught students from over 50 different countries and continues to enjoy educating students across the globe.

Dr. Stephen Fort PT, DPT, Cert. DN, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Steve Fort is a Fellowship-trained Orthopedic and Manual Therapist with over a decade of experience and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. He earned a Bachelor’s in Health from Texas A&M and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Fort is passionate about education, co-founding and teaching at The Global Initiative for Expert Manual Therapists. He has taught students from over 50 different countries and continues to enjoy educating PT students across the globe. He has directed multiple clinics in Texas and co-founded Ace Physical Therapy and Wellness with Arva Morbiwala. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Dr. Fort is fluent in English and proficient in clinical Spanish. He enjoys spending time with his wife Abiel, and with his four children: Joshua, Layla, Ethan, and Madelyn. 

Dhrumi Chhadwa PT

GEM Executive Assistant and GEM Adjunct Faculty

Dhrumi is a dedicated and versatile member of GEM, contributing significantly to the growth of our organization in various roles. Currently, she serves as both an adjunct faculty member and an executive assistant. This year, through GEM, she has taught physiotherapy content both online and in-person, meeting the academic standards of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy fellowship-level programs.

In addition to teaching, Dhrumi manages our social media team, creating engaging, accurate, and educational content that informs our audience and promotes our courses. She also facilitates all Zoom meetings across the globe for our courses and team meetings.

Dhrumi also handles the logistics and communications for GEM's live courses held in multiple major cities in India and in the USA.
